1985 Rover SD1 manual
Registered in January 1985 this icon British car car is being sold on behalf of a valued client who's downsizing their collection. This particular car is in truly excellent condition having been seldom used over the past few years and with the added benefit of a manual gearbox. The bright red paintwork has a deep lustre, the wheels are all in very good condition and the tyres have thousands of miles left. The interior is just as the photo's show - superb! Althought he driver's seat could perhaps benefit from new seat webbing the inside is a lovely place to be with all gauges and switches working as they should.
Mechanically the car is also completely up to scratch. Converted from the original 2 litre engine in 1990 when it was just 5 years old, the 3.5 litre V8 sounds amazing and pulls like a train. There is a huge history file not only documenting the engine swap by RoverTec of Leceister but dozens and dozens of other invoices. This car has had huge amounts of time and money spent on it over the years and most recently received a new electronic ignition system.
It drives as well as it looks. There are no rattles, squeaks or knocks (new front bushes in 2017) and she's smooth with good gear changes while drving. In fact the manual gearbox is highly desirable on this car and works completely as it should.
In all, this is an excellent example of an SD1. Please get in touch to make an appointment to view.
